Date Tags theory

To ensure consistently high quality, business owners and digital marketers need to adopt a long-term content strategy that boosts a website’s search engine ranking and keeps it there. Good content plays a crucial role here. Keyword relevancy and placement is far more important than frequency. Your keyword or key phrase should appear in the first 100 words of your page, if not the first sentence. Google doesn’t only consider on-page SEO score when ranking an article. It also takes into account many other factors like social media signals (shares, likes, tweets, follows, etc.), backlinks, domain authority, and many other off-page metrics. Now, you don’t want to go crazy, but a few smart internal links with appropriate anchor text can get you very far. Another tip: Never link back to your homepage with the anchor text "Home". Instead, use the name of your site.

Not all Yahoo searches lead to sales

Browse your own site for a while and try to click on every button, image and link to see what happens. Is everything working as expected? When you delete a page (or post) from your site, you delete one or more URLs too. That old URL, when visited, will usually return a 404 not found error. But is that what you wanted? Maybe that page should be redirected somewhere. People like to seem smart and cool in front of others. Try to create content that makes people feel this way. Make them feel they’re ‘insiders’. Timely topics are seasonal (like holiday recipes) or more focused on current events or news coverage. Timely topics have a much shorter lifespan, but can drive large bursts of traffic if done well.

Google recommends quality content

Numerous studies have documented that page one rankings are often in the 2,000+ word length and higher. For many businesses the goal is to get their business to position number 1 on Google, but did you know that there’s a new top spot on Google called position zero. You’ve probably noticed these results but maybe not understood them properly. Position zero is all about using featured snippets to give an informative answer to a user’s query. It’s not uncommon for the results that are further down the first page listings to be featured in position zero. While content and digital marketers have spent years honing search engine optimization into a fine art, most companies have actually devoted considerable efforts and resources to ensuring their SEO techniques are top-notch. When you allow search engines to crawl and index MASSIVE pages in your site, it consumes the crawl budget that you are given. Google cannot infinitely crawl all pages of your site everyday, you know?

Search engines will someday be perfect

Here′s what I can say, and it′s not a personal opinion, but a common fact: PPC brings results fast, but you have to pay all the time. The sums get rather big. And you never know for sure, whether PPC will pay for itself, or it′s just money down the drain. Find sites that are relevant to your website but are not direct competitors. The more relevant the links, the more valuable it will be and therefore the easier it will be for them to explain why they are linking to your website. If you are a webmaster and do not have a BWT (Bing Webmaster Tools), it is prudent to sign up. Bing, the Microsoft-owned search engine has been adding new features to its tools to become more competitive. Gaz Hall, from SEO Hull, had the following to say: "The three main pillars of Search Engine Optimization; content, links and site architecture will remain for years to come."

Pair complementary businesses together to provide more value for readers

Link building helps your content reach a broader audience, increasing both your site’s visibility and its authority. Moreover, it can grow your search traffic, as the number of unique domains linking to your site helps search engines understand whether your content is informative enough to rank higher in the SERP. Keyword density (SEO) is the percentage (%) of times a keyword or key phrase appears on a web page in comparison with the total number of words on the page. Over the years many people have tried to game the system by creating content that is stuffed full of keywords in the hope that repeating their keyword phrases over and over again will in some way get them to the top spot of Google. While this tactic may have worked in the 90’s and early 2000’s it is time to put this to bed and stop creating content that is written solely for the search engines. These search engines have evolved and now recognise and reward natural language so the best piece of advice is to write naturally and for humans.
